What are the Different Ways to Change My Name?

What is the Deed Poll Process?

Step 1 – Gathering Documents and Applying for Deed Poll

The initial step involves collecting all the necessary information from you and preparing the documents. After this, we can proceed with the application for the deed poll. Step 2 – Sign Your Deed Poll

The Deed Poll process can usually take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks depending on the documents being received, working days and postal services.

Once the Court receives the documents, they will check to make sure they are correct and will return the deed poll to you in an envelope sealed with its number. The Court will forward the draft notice to the London Gazette who will publish it at their earliest convenience.
