For all new filings with Companies House from November 2025 it is necessary for Directors, Company Secretaries, and individual Persons with Significant Control (PSC’s) to have obtained a Companies House personal code (identity code); this meant that since November 2025 all officers and PSC’s have to have such a code.
There are two methods of obtaining such a code, i.e. directly from Companies House or alternatively using the services of an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP), such as an accountant or solicitor with the specialist authorisation to verify identity.
