Money Matters

This service does not include updating property titles at HM Land Registry, which is charged separately (Transfer of Equity).

The fee may change if the trust structure is complex, there are multiple trustees or beneficiaries, the trust documentation is incomplete or inconsistent, urgent timescales are required, or additional advice is needed beyond preparing and completing the deed and (where applicable) updating HMRC. If anything falls outside the standard scope, we will explain this clearly and agree any revised fee with you in advance.

Your supplier is SRA-regulated Mounteney Solicitors, that charges VAT some customers may be able to reclaim.

Contact us for Deed of Retirement and Appointment of Trustees

If you need to record the retirement of a trustee and the appointment of a new one, our legal team can assist with preparing and executing the required deed. We will assess your situation, provide clear advice and ensure the necessary legal steps are followed.

When trustees change, it is important to document the transition correctly and involve all relevant parties. We will draft the deed, oversee its signing and, where required, update HMRC’s trust registration records. If property title changes are also involved, we can assist through a separate service.

With offices in Bramhall, Cheadle, Hazel Grove and Heald Green, we support trustees and families across Stockport, Greater Manchester and beyond. Remote appointments are also available.

Contact us today to speak with one of our Private Client Solicitors and make sure your trust records are updated clearly and correctly.
